Versatile standard focal length with high lens speeds

The 500 mm/1.4 is a lens that should be part of any video equipment. With a picture angle of approx. 46° in full format it corresponds with the natural human vision. Compositions with a type 50 have a particularly natural effect. With its 1:1.4 lens speed the lens has enough reserves to deliver excellent shots even under less favourable light conditions.

Quality for photography and videography

This high quality lens from walimex has been developed for photography, we also offer a video version of this lens. You find it under video lenses. The aperture can be infinitely adjusted from 1.4 to 22 and focussing is soft and light moving.

High quality optics

The lens comes with an aperture with eight blades, which enable an almost circular opening and thus guarantees a very nice bokeh. The multi-coating of all lenses used in this lens is standard with walimex pro. It enables a higher light gain, better colour rendering and higher contrast. The lens is fitted with 9 lenses in 6 groups. Another advantage is the inner focussing of the lens, which enables simple and uncomplicated use of a polarization filter, because the socket will not rotate when focussing.
