No, this photo tripod is not as light, elegant and compact as a travel tripod - but it doesn't want to be. Rather, the entire construction is geared towards stability, longevity, solidity and high load-bearing capacity. The reversible center column is equipped with 1/4" and 3/8" threaded connectors at the ends so that cameras can be mounted directly as well as ball heads or panheads. The FT-6653H 3D panhead is particularly suitable for all areas where precise adjustment, guidance and positioning of your camera or camcorder is required, e.g. in architectural, wildlife and landscape photography as well as in videography. It offers the precision and flexibility you need with its pan and tilt mechanism. It can be changed from landscape to portrait orientation in the blink of an eye. Two large, easy-to-read degree scales make your work much easier.
The two swivel arms with different lengths (14 and 18 cm) allow you to adjust this 3D panhead individually to your preferences. The friction in the the respective planes are also regulated very sensitively by the swivel arms (simply by twisting of the swivel arms into the thread stronger) - or, if necessary, also safely locked. An additionally installed lock is responsible for the dampening of panoramic pans and enables you to perform silky-smooth pans. For easy and space-saving transport, the swivel arms can be taken off.

Generously dimensioned and richly and versatilely equipped
The panhead is equipped with a spirit level for the exact alignment of the tripod head. A generously dimensioned aluminium quick-release plate (60mm long) with 1/4 inch camera connection and cork support ensures that your equipment is held securely and accurately. The quick-release plate has a drop safety device and a locking lever. The Walimex pro FT-6653H 3D panhead can be attached to 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch tripod connection threads, a suitable 1/4 to 3/8 inch thread adapter is already built into the device.
