DSLR landscape set Canon EF
Landscape and nature photography is about capturing the environment - whether moving or still. The sharpness of the image is very important. Apart from intentional artistic blur, the photographer attempts to create classic landscape shots with deep depth of field and in great detail. Landscape photographers usually take time to create the best possible image. As they often use a tripod, there is no great need for short exposures. High contrast, natural colour rendering and optimum sharpness are key factors. The photographer usually achieves deep depth of field by using an aperture two stops from the smallest. In this set, all the lenses have a maximum aperture of f/22. This means you can achieved optimum sharpness and depth of field at f/11. In most cases, it is recommended to use manual focus in landscape photography. With sunrises, sunsets or storm shots, it is often not possible to use autofocus because of the low levels of contrast.
Advantages of a full-format lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
You save time in post-processing. Many lens aberrations such as distortion and vignetting occur on the edges of the image. If you use a lens designed for full-format cameras on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This means you can achieve maximum quality. You then don’t have to spend additional time post-processing to correct these problems.
