At open aperture, a transmission of T1.9 is achieved. The Samyang 20/1.9 Video DSLR lens is the ideal companion for filmmakers and guarantees good results even in low light conditions. This video DSLR lens has been designed to meet the special requirements of filmmakers and videographers. The subject in focus is skilfully brought into focus, while the background is immersed in a wonderfully soft bokeh at open aperture. This wide-angle cine lens for full-frame sensors is not only suitable for shooting indoors, but also for concerts, landscape and street scenes.
High quality optics
The Samyang 20/1.9 Video DSLR is equipped with the best optical technology Samyang has to offer. The wide-angle lens is coated with the typical Samyang Ultra Multi Coating. The combination of coating, the two aspherical glass elements and the three extra-low dispersion glasses reduces chromatic aberrations to a minimum and prevents unsightly light scattering. The glass construction consists of 13 glass elements divided into 12 groups, ensuring sharp images from the centre of the image to the edge.
7 aperture blades create an almost circular and stunning bokeh when the aperture is open, while closing the aperture reveals crystal clear, stellar highlights. The lens is compact and robustly built, making it the ideal companion even when things get a little rough.
