Versatile normal focal length with high lens speed
Hardly any photographer would do without a good, fast 50 mm lens, because it can be used in so many different ways. The range of use extends from portraits, detail photos, street photography to landscape photography. Due to the open aperture of 1.4, this lens is e.g. ideal for wedding reportages, which in most cases have to do without flash. But the affordable Samyang lens is not only suitable for this. The freeing up of the people or objects in focus is incomparable. Sharp results surrounded by a soft bokeh will convince you. Coupled with the fast and accurate autofocus, the Samyang AF 50/1.4 DSLR is a powerful and affordable alternative to the Sony lenses available so far.
Designed for the best
For the best possible optical performance of the lens, the light flow has been specially optimised based on the ratio of the lens glass to the position of the sensor of Sony cameras. The high quality 50 mm 1.4 lens has a compact design despite its solid metal body. Plug-in filter systems or screw filters can be attached to the 67 mm thread, opening up further potential for you.
High quality optics
The inner workings of this lens consist of 9 glass elements arranged in 8 groups. This allows for a close focus distance of only 45 cm. 3 aspherical lenses reduce chromatic aberration and aberrations, ensuring high imaging performance. This is noticeable in sharp images with crisp contrasts and natural colours. The construction is rounded off with a multi-layer coating that prevents reflections and ghost images.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A lot of lens aberrations like distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This way you get the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not necessary.
