Samyang's compact 14mm wide-angle lens creates unique shots. The wide-angle lens delivers more than the standard lens at the same distance. The 14 mm F2.8 wide-angle lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for landscape photography and indoor photography. The distinct depth impression of the wide-angle images offers room for creative photography.

Enormous width and great depth of field
The lens has a short focal length which takes advantage of the APS-C image sensor. With a close-up limit of just 28 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is ideal for sharp, high-contrast images at close range. Thanks to the outstanding light intensity of F2.8, optimal shots are possible even in unfavourable lighting conditions.

High quality optics
The outstanding imaging performance is due to the elaborate optical system. This system consists of two aspherical ED lenses (Extra Low Dispersion) which reduce chromatic aberration. This results in images with a harmonious color balance. The fixed lens hood also prevents the annoying lateral incidence of light and lens reflections, which would lead to loss of contrast.

Advantages of a full frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor (or smaller)
Save time in post-processing: A variety of lens defects such as distortion, blur, or vignetting appear on the edges of the image. If you use a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas will not be used in the first place. Thus, you automatically get the maximum quality and no additional time for correcting lens errors needs needs to be invested in post-processing.
