Item description

Creative image composition
The Samyang 24 mm wide-angle lens with tilt and shift function offers a multitude of creative design possibilities. Whether optical illusions, e.g. in miniature optics, or unusual image formats with selective blurring, the Tilt - Shift lens realises all this in the usual high-quality way. The wide-angle lens offers a fixed focal length of 24 mm and a high lens speed of 1:3.5. A total of 16 coated lenses (including two aspherical and two ED lenses) ensure good image quality. The aperture setting and focusing are manual.

Shift, tilt and focus
The independently rotating tilt and shift mechanism is the highlight of the lens. The housing can be shifted by ± 12 mm and tilted by ± 8.5°. The shift function shifts the lens system relative to the image plane, allowing you to compensate for converging lines, for example. This is particularly important in architectural photography. With the tilt function, the lens system can be gradually tilted, allowing you, for example, to shift the focus area while reducing the exposure time. This multitude of optical settings offers countless creative possibilities of use, also e.g. in factual and landscape photography.

Logical control buttons
With "black" you adjust the optics - either Tilt or Shift. The "grey" buttons lock your selected setting against unintentional adjustment.
The entire optics can be changed from landscape to portrait format with a small, flat, grey, release button near the bayonet. This is especially needed for shifting: left-right or classic: up-down.
The grey release button next to the grey shift-blocking button allows the optics to rotate above: The tilt function can again be selected between left-right or up-down.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A lot of lens aberrations like distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This way you get the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not necessary.
