Versatile normal focal length with high lens speed
The 50mm/1.4 is a lens that belongs in every photographic kit. With an angle of view of approx. 46° in full format, it corresponds to the natural angle of view of humans. Compositions with a 50 mm focal length look particularly natural. With a lens speed of 1:1.4, the lens has enough reserves to still deliver excellent images even in less favourable lighting conditions.

This high-quality and fast lens was developed for demanding photography. The aperture can be adjusted in half steps from 1.4 to 22, the focus adjustment is smooth and easy.
High quality optics
The lens features an eight-blade aperture that allows for an almost circular aperture, guaranteeing a beautiful bokeh. Multi-coating of all lenses used in the lens is standard at Samyang. It enables a higher light yield, better colour rendition and higher contrast. The lens has 9 lenses in 6 groups. Another advantage is the internal focusing of the lens, which makes it easy and uncomplicated to use polarising filters, as the mount does not rotate when focusing.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A lot of lens aberrations like distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This way you get the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not necessary.
