The 50mm/1.4 is a lens that belongs in every photo equipment. With an angle of view of approx. 46° in full format, it corresponds to the natural angle of vision of a human being. Compositions with a focal length of 50 mm look particularly natural. With a speed of f/1.4, the lens has enough reserves to deliver excellent images even under less favorable lighting conditions.

This high-quality and powerful lens from Walimex pro was developed for demanding photography. The aperture can be adjusted in half steps from f/1.4 to f/22, the focus is soft and smooth.

High quality optics
The lens has an aperture with eight lamellas, which result in an almost circular opening and thus guarantee beautiful highlights in the Bokeh. The multiple coating of all lenses used in the lens is standard with Walimex pro. It enables a higher light output, better colour rendering and a higher contrast. The lens features 9 elements in 6 groups. A further advantage is the internal focusing of the lens, which makes it possible to use gradient filters or polarizing filters simply and uncomplicatedly, since the mount does not rotate when focusing.

Advantages of a full frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor (or smaller)
Save time in post-processing: A variety of lens defects such as distortion, blur, or vignetting appear on the edges of the image. If you use a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas will not be used in the first place. Thus, you automatically get the maximum quality and no additional time for correcting lens errors needs needs to be invested in post-processing.
