Versatile telephoto focal length with high speed
With a light telephoto focal length on APS-C, the 50 mm is the compact lens for mirrorless system cameras and is versatile, particularly suitable for portrait and landscape photography. Especially low-light shots or images with shallow depth of field can be ideally realised thanks to a high lens speed - F1:1.2. With an angle of view of approx. 31°, the lens achieves images from a natural perspective. The aperture can be set from 1.2 to 16 and the focus adjustment is smooth and easy.

High-quality optics
The lens has a 9-blade diaphragm that allows for an almost circular aperture and thus guarantees a beautiful bokeh. A particularly high-quality optical construction of 9 multi-coated glass lenses achieves excellent imaging results. In addition, 2 aspherical lenses ensure the best possible correction of chromatic aberrations. A lens hood, which can be removed if necessary, prevents stray light and lens reflections from entering the lens from the side. The robust lens is internally focusing, which means that the overall length of the optics does not change. Focusing is manual.

Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses designed for cameras with APS-C sensors can sometimes be used on cameras with full-frame sensors (mainly by using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges are shown in black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. Using APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
