Practice compliant reporting set with the two most common KB focal lengths
The walimex pro 35/1.4 lens is the ideal focal length for reporting applications. Clarity with outstanding benefits: it is almost distortionless. It transmits more image to the sensor, the distortion or receding perspective, as is quite common with wide angle lenses, does, however not yet appear. The very high aperture of 1.4 allows a reserve of up to 3 time steps, when compared with a standard vario lens. The lens speed is also visible in the brightness of the viewfinder, this provides safety when adjusting. The very low focal depth with open aperture enables selective sharpness setting.
The lens is designed with inner focussing. Lens groups are shifted inside , the length of the lens does not change, the front socket also does not turn when focussing. This means that graduated filters and polarizing filters can simply be attached (size 77mm).
12 lens elements in 10 groups are a sign of the tremendous effort to produce powerful and very good optics One lens is aspherically ground, 2 other ones have high-refractive glasses. Despite the mean picture angle, hardly any imaging faults can be noticed even with full aperture.
Paired with an optimal picture angle - not only for portraits
The walimex pro 85mm as classical focal length for portrait and landscape, provides concentration on essentials. With its picture angle of 28° it produces the optimal detail in the essential picture element when used on a full format camera. The highly practice oriented lens speed of 1.4 not only gives you a very bright viewfinder, but also the possibility of cropping due to the smallest focal length The lens is very well corrected and convinces with its very high and distortionless imaging quality. The very short design ensures convenient handling with a well balanced centre of gravity.
Outstanding lens speed
Due to the high lens speed both walimex pro lenses allow the use of shortest exposure times or lower ASA-values. This considerably reduces the noise generated in digital cameras. A convenient side effect of the high lens speed is the separation/cropping of the motif in front of blurred foregrounds or backgrounds. The large start aperture with low focal depth optimizes the position of the sharpness level in the viewfinder. This allows an exact assessment of the focal gradient.
High quality optics and mechanics
Both lenses are designed with inner focussing. This all is rounded off by high precision mechanics, distinctly clicking aperture values in high quality metal socket. The chips installed in both lenses enable very quick working, as required for reporting applications with a Nikon DSLR. Please set the aperture ring on the red marked aperture 22 -the camera is now able to control the aperture via the modes Time - Aperture - Program automatic. At the same time the EXIF files are reported from the optics to the camera and recorded with the image.
