Versatile high speed lens
The Samyang MF 50 mm F1.4 is a lens that belongs in any photographic equipment. With an angle of view of approx. 46° in full format, it reproduces the natural viewing angle of the human eye. Compositions with a focal length of 50 mm therefore look particularly natural. With a speed of f/1.4, the lens has enough reserves to deliver excellent images even under less favourable lighting conditions.
Designed for the best
This high-quality and powerful lens from Samyang was developed for demanding photography. The aperture can be adjusted in half steps from f/1.4 to f/22, the focus is soft and smooth.
High quality optics
The lens has an aperture with 8 blades that create an almost circular opening and thus guarantee a harmonious bokeh. The multiple coating of all lenses used in the lens is standard at Samyang. It enables a higher luminous efficacy, better colour rendering and a higher contrast. The objective has 9 lenses in 6 groups. A further advantage is the internal focusing of the lens, which allows polarizing filters (and other, e.g. gradient filters) to be used easily and uncomplicatedly, as the front does not rotate when focusing.
Advantages of a full frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A variety of lens defects such as distortion, edge blur, or vignetting appear on the outside of the image. If you use a full-frame calculated lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas will not be used. This gives you maximum quality. Additional post-processing time for correcting lens errors is therefore not necessary.
