Designed for videography and photography
With the Samyang 8/3.1 Fisheye VCSC, you are equipped for both video and still photography without having to make time-consuming changes to your camera. The aperture can be adjusted continuously, minimising transitions in exposure. The aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a toothed ring and are thus optimised for use with focus pullers (follow focus systems). Lens for APS cameras!

Extraordinary design possibilities
Whether panorama and landscape photography or unique effect images - thanks to the special depth of field and an angle of view of 180°, there are no limits to your creativity. With the Samyang 8/3.1 Fisheye VCSC, photographers and filmmakers have a wide range of creative possibilities, especially with spherical panoramas. Straight lines that are not in the centre of the image are shown plunging and the distortion is strongly barrel-shaped. At 8 mm, this special type of lens has a particularly short focal length for its image format size, which means that the image is reproduced with curved shapes. This gives photographs taken with the Samyang Fish-Eye their typical spherically distorted perspective. Focusing and aperture adjustment are manual.

Outstanding optical construction
All 11 glass lenses of the lens are multi-coated for excellent contrast and sharpness as well as colour balance. Thanks to the use of three ED (extra low dispersion) and two aspherical lenses, chromatic aberrations and spherical aberrations are corrected. The lens' particularly high-quality optics ensure optimal image results. The high lens speed of 1:3.1 enables excellent shots even in less favourable light conditions. A fixed lens hood prevents stray light and lens reflections from the side. The lens is suitable for system cameras and is therefore particularly light and handy.

Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses designed for cameras with APS-C sensors can sometimes be used on cameras with full-frame sensors (mainly by using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges are shown in black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. Using APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
