Ideal for landscape and architecture
The compact Samyang 21mm T1.5 Video APS-C for mirrorless system cameras is ideal for creative landscape and architecture shots from unusual perspectives, but also for street and reportage shots. Detailed close-up shots are also possible thanks to a closest focusing distance of only about 30 cm. Thanks to the very high lens speed of 1:1.5, the lens delivers optimal results even in low light. The lenses, which are optimised for videography, have a continuously variable aperture. The aperture ring and the focus ring are equipped with a toothed ring and are thus optimised for the use of a focus puller.

High-quality optics
A particularly high-quality optical construction of 8 multi-coated glass lenses achieves excellent imaging results. In addition, 3 aspherical lenses ensure the best possible correction of chromatic aberrations. A lens hood, which can be removed if necessary, prevents stray light and lens reflections from entering the lens from the side. The lens is internally focusing, which means that the overall length of the optics does not change. Focusing is manual and enables pinpoint accuracy.

Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses designed for cameras with APS-C sensors can sometimes be used on cameras with full-frame sensors (mainly by using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges are shown in black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. Using APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
