Squeeze factor 2
The XEEN Anamorphic 50mm T2.3 PL full frame works with a squeeze factor of 2, allowing you to work in the familiar Cinemascope format of 2.55:1. In post-processing, other aspect ratios can of course be exported from the image material. The angle of view on full format is 68.4° in the horizontal and 26.9° in the vertical. On S35 it is 50° in the horizontal and 20.5° in the vertical.

Crystal clear images, crisp sharpness and 8K
Thanks to the exquisite quality of the components and workmanship, and because of the brilliant resolution, you get crystal clear, crisp images that will wow audiences. The resolution is more than sufficient for 8K sensors.

Full-frame image circle
With its image circle of 43.2mm, this lens fills the frame of all sensors up to full frame format. It can therefore be used on many cine cameras from well-known manufacturers, for example Arri Alexa 4x3, Red Dragon 6K Full Frame, Arri Alexa 16x9, Red Monstro 8K, Sony Venice and others, as well as S35 and cameras with full-frame sensors. The optical resolution of the lens meets the requirements of 8K.

Lightweight and strong thanks to carbon barrel
Its carbon barrel makes the lens particularly light, yet robust and durable. The front diameter of 114mm is ideal for attaching 4x5 matte boxes. The barrel does not rotate during focusing. Thanks to its 15 blades, the aperture provides perfectly oval flares as well as highlights, evenly illuminated. The length of the lens is 198.6mm, the diameter 128mm, it weighs 3.9kg.

PL mount for versatile use
The PL mount is a widely used mount for cine cameras. Many cameras have a PL mount or can carry PL lenses via an adapter or interchangeable mount. The lens can therefore be attached to a wide range of professional cameras and is very versatile. The minimum focus distance of the lens is 1m. Thanks to the open aperture of T2.3, great shots are no problem even in low light.

Luminescent scales on both sides
The markings have been placed on both sides and, thanks to their strong luminescence, are easy to read even in low-light situations. The 300° focus throw is also particularly helpful, allowing especially precise focusing as well as smooth focusing movements even with follow focus. The lens features gear rings for focus and aperture.

Working with anamorphic lenses
This XEEN anamorphic lens compresses the image in width by a factor of 2, which means that depending on the sensor format of the camera used, you can capture extremely wide formats. Using a 35mm full-frame sensor results in an aspect ratio of 2.55:1 at 8K resolution.
