The revised 2nd generation of this modern wide-angle classic from Samyang offers a multitude of improvements in all areas. The optical construction of high-quality glass lenses with 2x ASP (aspherical) and 2x HR (high-refractive) special lenses offers excellent resolution. The Samyang Multi Coating delivers detailed images even under challenging lighting conditions. Combined with the high F1.4 speed, photography is possible even in difficult lighting conditions with low, low-noise camera ISO settings. The particularly high-quality optical design produces true-color images, crystal sharp from center to edge. In particular, the optimized Color Contribution Index CCI ensures especially clear color reproduction.

Designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras - full frame and APS-C
It was created for the extreme demands of today's high-resolution Sony E-mount cameras. With an angle of view of 65.5° on full-frame cameras and 45.2° on APS-C cameras, the Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II is an ideal reportage lens.

The upgraded autofocus - Linear STM
Samyang's proven LSTM autofocus, driven by a linear stepper motor, has been improved once again and now delivers razor-sharp results quickly, quietly and precisely. Whether photo or video, the autofocus masters the challenges.

Professional functionality and features
With the Custom Switch and the Focus Hold Button, you literally have the image composition in your hands: The Custom Switch allows you to use the focus ring for aperture control or manual focusing. In addition, the Focus Hold Button gives you the option of holding the set focus or assigning various functions via the camera menu, e.g. eye autofocus.

Modern design and weather protection
Reliable protection against dust, dirt and moisture is provided by the Samyang Weather Sealing. Specially shaped rubber lips on the openings reliably protect the inside of the lens. Thus, it is possible to take pictures even in light rain, driving snow or similar conditions. In addition, the focus ring is made of aluminum with a particularly grippy outer surface, so that precise work is possible even with thick gloves.

Refined bokeh
Thanks to F1.4 open aperture, even low-light shots are successful. The high speed allows you to separate the foreground from the background and get creative. The bokeh is harmonious and soft, highlights of e.g. the sun or lanterns are reproduced circularly.

Short M.O.D.
With a closest focusing distance of only 0.29 m, the lens is suitable for potraits, food photography as well as product photography and the reproduction of small details.
