Item description

Extended compatibility through adapters
Adapters allow the use of different lenses on different cameras, even if they are not designed for each other and feature various connectors. In most cases, an adapter does not change the imaging behavior of the lens, since meticulous attention is paid to this in the design of the adapter. In most cases, it is also possible to focus to infinity, which is no longer possible with some combinations because the lens distance from the sensor is too great.

Kipon MAF-N/Z Adapter: Minolta AF lenses on cameras with Canon RF Mount
This adapter allows the use of Minolta AF lenses, but also lenses with Sony A mount, on cameras with Canon RF mount. Minolta AF lenses do not feature an aperture ring, the aperture is usually set through the camera. When using this adapter, the aperture can be selected manually and continuously using an aperture ring on the adapter. Special caution is required when mounting wide-angle and fisheye lenses on the adapter.

Working manually
Some adapters transmit the electrical signals between the camera and the lens so that, for example, fully automatic exposure programs and automatic focusing remain available. Others do not, so that the photographer has to operate the lens manually - but even for beginners in photography this is not a real obstacle. With this adapter you can only work manually with Minolta AF lenses.

Compatible also with Sony A Lenses
Lenses of the Sony A series can also be mounted onto this adapter. They can also only be used manually. Their aperture can only be controlled on the lens, not via the aperture ring on the adapter. The Minolta AF Mount is also known as Minolta A.
