Developed for videography and photography
This wide-angle lens from Samyang was developed for the special requirements of video and photographers. The aperture is continuously adjustable from f/1.5 to f/22. The focus adjustment works smoothly. This makes it possible to gently adjust the focus of video recordings. The aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a gear rim and are therefore optimised for use with Follow Focus systems. For better legibility, the distance and aperture scales are positioned on the side.

The Samyang 35 mm f/1.5 lens offers the ideal wide-angle focal length for a variety of creative filming and photography applications. The focal length of 35 mm is particularly suitable for documentaries and reportage shots. The very high speed of f/1.5 enables excellent results even in less favourable lighting conditions.

The lens is of high quality construction. The robust metal housing captivates by its classy optics. The glass lenses are coated. Thus, they offer an excellent contrast and sharpness range and deliver a balanced color balance. The particularly high-quality optics ensure optimum image results. The lens hood prevents stray light and lens reflections entering from the side.
Advantages of a full frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A variety of lens defects such as distortion, edge blur, or vignetting appear on the outside of the image. If you use a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas will not be used. Thus, the maximum quality is obtained. Additional post-processing time for the correction of lens errors is therefore not necessary.
