The lens is designed for cameras with 35 mm full frame sensor for best photo and video shooting. It is the fastest lens of its kind and is designed for the latest high pixel count DSLR cameras.
Unique perspectives
The compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens creates unique shots. The wide-angle lens captures more than the standard lens at the same subject distance. The Samyang lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for landscape photography and indoor shots. The distinct impression of depth in the wide-angle shots offers room for creative photography.
Enormous width and great depth of field
The lens has a short focal length. With a closest focusing distance of just 28 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp and high-contrast images at close range. Thanks to the excellent lens speed of 1:2.4, optimal shots are possible even in unfavourable light conditions.
High pixel count for excellent optical functionality The outstanding imaging performance is due to the sophisticated optical system. This consists of 14 groups with 18 lenses and thus sets standards. Particularly noteworthy are the 2 aspherical lenses, 1 aspherical hybrid lens, 2 ED lenses and 3 HR lenses. With these high-precision aspherical and high-refractive lenses, various aberrations are minimised and a clear image is produced. In particular, it has excellent distortion correction and provides excellent resolution in the centre and at the edges. The lens hood also prevents the disturbing, lateral incidence of light and lens reflections that would lead to loss of contrast.
Built-in chip A chip built into the lens makes it possible to work with exposure or programme automatic. In addition, EXIF data such as aperture, ISO value or exposure time are transferred.
